Digital cockpits are revolutionising the driving experience by replacing traditional instrument panels with high-resolution, customisable displays. They offer an intuitive user interface that combines important driving information, navigation and infotainment in one centralised field of vision. With the ability to present and personalise real-time data, digital cockpits improve driver safety and comfort. They are integrated with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to display warnings and critical information directly in the driver’s field of vision.
Digital displays have replaced analogue instruments and are now part of the expectations of buyers of modern vehicles. Whether speed information, radio displays (e.g. station information), telephone functions (e.g. call histories) or navigation system displays – modern digital instrument clusters are the direct interface to the driver. In addition to the connection to the infotainment system, we integrate the entire range of standardised information such as fuel and energy consumption or on-board computer functions. In order to do justice to this important development, all of our expertise from the production of infotainment systems is also channelled into the development of digital clusters.
The ongoing digitalisation of vehicles not only brings modernity, but can also lead to visual overload for some user groups due to its complexity.
