Modern vehicles are increasingly networked, both within the vehicle with additional control devices and externally to cloud systems and customer devices such as smartphones. These systems must be protected against hacker attacks so that the vehicle does not become a threat to vehicle occupants, pedestrians and road users. There are various methods and measures to protect against unauthorized access to the systems. Another mechanism is the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) method based on AI. Here, attack patterns and procedures should be recognized using AI in order to initiate further measures.
